Our Practice

Everyday, more and more people are discovering the advantages of straighter, healthier teeth.

Orthodontists are dental specialists – experts who can provide accurate diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. Our specialist, Dr. Catherine Lee, is an American-trained orthodontist with an additional sub-specialty in surgical orthodontics. At Dr. Catherine Lee Orthodontics, we provide a comprehensive range of treatment for all ages – children, teenagers and adults.

Our orthodontic clinic is conveniently located within the historical part of Central Business District (CBD) of Singapore, Raffles Place, on the top floor of Collyer Quay Centre (right above the Raffles Place MRT station) at 16 Collyer Quay.

Modern facilities, a spacious open treatment area and panoramic view overlooking the city and sea are among the special ways we make visits more relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable for our patients. Private enclosed treatment suites are also available for individuals who require more privacy.

Integration of AI Technology into Our Practice

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has ushered in a new era in orthodontics in Singapore, enhancing various aspects of the treatment process:

1. AI in Radiology:

With the help of state-of-the-art algorithms, we now can analyse radiographic images with remarkable accuracy using AI technology. This innovative approach greatly assists us in detecting potential issues early on and allows them to accurately diagnose problems. By leveraging these advanced technologies, personalized treatment plans tailored specifically for teenagers can be devised.

2. AI in Imaging (Intraoral Scanners):

Say goodbye to messy dental impressions! Thanks to AI technology, we have been using several generations of intraoral scanners for last 10 years. This has replaced the traditional method of capturing gooey dental impressions. These advanced digital devices use 3D imaging to capture detailed images of teeth and oral structures, providing a much more comfortable experience for patients while also giving orthodontists accurate data for treatment planning.

3. Virtual Treatment planning with AI:

We utilize AI-based software aids that simulate tooth movements, bite adjustments, and treatment progress predictions, enhancing the orthodontic process. By combining 3D scanners with braces and clear aligners, we ensure a seamless and comfortable experience. This technology provides 3D digital imagery of your mouth and teeth, allowing orthodontists to simulate final results and improve diagnosis accuracy. It also facilitates treatment planning discussions before orthodontic treatment begins, resulting in optimal outcomes and reduced treatment duration.

FAQ: Can AI replace Human orthodontists?

While AI can offer precise and efficient treatments, it cannot replace an experienced orthodontist with decades of experience. AI lacks the ability to handle unexpected situations, consider patient preferences, cultural factors, or ethics. The human orthodontist’s expertise, empathy, and communication skills are essential and can't be easily replaced by AI.
