Dr. Lee practiced dentistry for many years in Sydney, Australia and New York City before she called Asia home. She moved to Singapore in 2001 and started her orthodontics specialist practice there in 2002, adding a satellite practice in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.


Spending her formative years in Australia, Dr. Lee graduated with a degree in dentistry from Adelaide University. She worked at Sydney Westmead Hospital and private practices in the City and North Shore, before attending post graduate training in New York City, where she qualified as an American -trained specialist in orthodontics at New York University (NYU).

In 1998, Dr. Catherine distinguished herself among her peers, earning the opportunity to advance her expertise in the specialized realm of cleft-craniofacial surgical orthodontics through a highly competitive fellowship at the renowned Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (IRPS) at the NYU School of Medicine. This esteemed institution has been at the forefront of pioneering numerous ground-breaking surgical and treatment methodologies. Furthermore, she has made significant contributions to the field, with a notable list of seminal scientific papers published during her time there (See below).

Dr. Catherine has been practicing as a Craniofacial Orthodontist, looking after children with cleft and craniofacial needs in the region for more than 20 years.


Dr. Lee has recently been awarded
Global Australian GameChanger 2023 by Advance The Global Australian Network supported by the Commonwealth Government of Australia. She was also nominated for the Australian Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Adelaide in December 2021.

*Cleft Care Indonesia Foundation (CCIF) - a non-profit charity organization. Dr. Lee now serves as a Patron and medical director on its board, providing expertise, resources and strategies for the care of underprivileged cleft-lip and -palate children in Indonesia.

Dr. Lee is currently also a member of four multi-disciplinary teams, providing care for cleft-lip and palate, and cranio-facial patients around the Asia – Pacific region. 


Dr. Lee has been appointed as a visiting Consultant for the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery of the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and the Department of Surgery at the National University of Singapore (NUH) for the past fifteen years. In these hospitals, she serves as a craniofacial-orthodontist, complementing the surgical teams with their treatment for special patients.


Leading the frontier of digital technology and embracing advancements in digital orthodontics, Dr. Lee was invited by Align Technology® Inc. as a speaker for their Invisalign® Asia-Pacific Summit during the Closing Session in 2018, in recognition of her contribution in advancing the science and understanding of orthodontics.

Dr. Lee currently serves as a CORE ClearCorrect™ Global Advisory Board member. Clear Correct™ is a subsidiary of the Straumann® Group, a Switzerland company who is a leader in the dental industry and has been actively involved in researches, development and manufacturing of premium dental equipment and supplies.

Dr. Lee is a strong advocate of green earth since she was a teenager. She actively promotes recycling and upcycling to reduce the carbon footprint on mother earth. She is always thinking of creative ways to reduce and reuse materials, including paper, glass and plastic waste in the clinic operations and her daily life. She also loves plants, rescued animals and absolutely enjoys spending time chatting with her geriatric patients.
